At Theatricool Performing Arts School, we’ve made a conscious choice to stay open all year round, rather than closing during school holidays. It’s a decision rooted in our belief that consistency, creativity, and connection are key to a young performer’s growth.

Of course, we understand the importance of rest and family time too — which is why we will obviously take short breaks at Christmas and Easter. These important pauses in the year give everyone a chance to recharge, reflect, and enjoy quality time together.

Here’s why year-round performing arts training is proving so valuable to our students — and their families:

1. Skills Stay Sharp

Performing arts training is all about building technique and confidence over time. When classes stop for long periods, that progress can stall. Year-round training keeps students moving forward — helping them retain what they’ve learned and continue developing with each session.

2. Fitness Levels Stay High

Whether it’s dance, musical theatre or singing, performing arts is physically demanding. Regular attendance keeps students strong, flexible, and focused. It also reduces the risk of injury and ensures they’re always performance-ready.

3. Friendships Stay Strong

Theatricool is more than just a school — it’s a community. Weekly classes provide structure, social connection and a positive outlet, especially during school breaks. Students stay in touch with their friends, keep up their confidence, and enjoy a safe, creative space to express themselves.

4. More Time, More Opportunities

Holiday periods give us the flexibility to offer extra workshops, guest-led sessions, and in-house performance projects that wouldn’t normally fit into term time. These experiences give our students a richer, more diverse training journey.

5. Creative Breaks for School Holidays

School holidays can be a challenge to fill. Our classes provide a purposeful, active and enjoyable way for children to spend that time. Rather than sitting at home on screens, they’re dancing, acting, singing — and growing.

6. It Builds Dedication

Staying open all year helps students build commitment and professionalism. They learn that performing arts isn’t just a term-time activity, but something they’re truly invested in. That mindset sets them apart as they grow.

7. Fair Fees and Flexible Attendance

To support families, we keep our monthly fee fixed throughout the year. This fee already takes holiday breaks and show days into account — so there are no hidden costs or surprises.

The only extras you’d ever pay for are:

• Show fees

• Optional exam classes

• Uniform

We also offer a 50% sibling discount for Junior, Pre-Senior and Senior classes. And if you’re away for a family holiday? Just let us know — your child won’t lose their place.

In Summary

Keeping Theatricool open all year gives our students the time and space to thrive — physically, socially and creatively. With consistent training, supportive friendships, and exciting opportunities, they stay engaged and inspired throughout the year.
