Theatricool Musical Theatre and Acting Schools
Students of all abilities are welcome to our Performing Arts Classes in Colchester. As long as you have a love of performing we would love to meet you!
Classes are divided into appropriate age groups to ensure every student has an enjoyable experience and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We perform two theatre shows per year and often appear throughout the year at community events giving our students amazing opportunities to build their theatre craft.
Our School provides training in ACTING, SINGING & DANCING. As well as our tutors being highly qualified in their field, they have real life experience, several having performed in top West End shows including Les Miserables, Beautiful, Mama Mia, Chicago and Newsies

Classes
All our classes are located in the heart of Colchester at our purpose-built Chandlers Row Studios, CO12HG, our facilities include a dance floor, mirrors, ballet barres, and a sound system.
Class Timetable
- Little Stars: 9.00am – 10.00am | Nursery and Reception Ages 3-6
- Pre Juniors: 8.30am- 10.30am | Ages 6-8
- Musical Theatre School: 10.15 – 1.15pm
- Juniors: Ages 7 – 10
- Pre-Seniors: Ages 10 – 13
- Seniors: 14-18
- Exam Classes : 1.30pm – 3.00pm | Aged 10-18
- leading to exams in Acting or Musical Theatre with Trinity College
To make budgeting easier, we charge a flat monthly fee throughout the year, regardless of how many sessions fall in each month. You receive 49 sessions per year, and show week sessions (up to 6 per year) are included free of charge.
The only additional costs are:
- Uniform (if required)
- Costume fee of approx. £40 per show
- Exam class/exam fees (where applicable)
- Tickets to attend shows
- Rehearsals/shows for professional companies and local events
Notice Period
We require a 6-week notice period should you decide to withdraw your child from Theatricool. Fees remain payable during the notice period.
